CSMUN XV Secretariat

Hey loves! My name is Adunolaoluwa Ogedengbe, though I usually go by Adunola, and I am beyond honored to serve as your Secretary General of Logistics and CSMUN for CSMUN XV!! As a current senior, this year marks my 4th year in MUN and my 3rd year on the secretariat--an opportunity I'm extremely grateful for. Outside of Model UN, I am involved in a plethora of extracurricular activities within my school community; namely, I am the President of Sandburg's Black Student Union, Medical club/HOSA, ACES, and serve as Senior Class President! I am also the co-founder of African IFEST where we perform cultural dances and I am the podcast host/founder of "The Voice of Sandburg" under my school's leadership team. Passionate about student advocacy, I'm proud to represent our students on the district board for the second consecutive year as well. Nevertheless, my community engagement extends beyond school; as the President of my church's youth group, I consider my Christian faith to be a cornerstone of my life and I've also co-founded a global neuroscience nonprofit which provides pre-med opportunities to students through online resources. As you can see, I love taking on new challenges while keeping myself busy. In my spare time, you might find me traveling, belting out Hamilton tunes, indulging in reality TV (particularly "Love is Blind" and "Love Island"), or enjoying a meal with friends. In the near future, I hope to study Public Health and Public Policy in college as exploring the intersection between medicine and politics greatly intrigues me. Enough about me, I cannot wait to see you all at CSMUN XV very soon!!

Hey! My name is Sarah Allyson Torres, and I am honored to serve as one of the Secretary Generals of General Assembly for CSMUN XV. This year marks my fourth and final year in Model UN and my senior year of high school. Aside from Model UN, I am involved in many different extracurricular activities in my school’s community; I am a member of the Lincoln-Douglas Varsity debate team, executive member of Sandburg’s Superfanz, member of the Wind Symphony, and I participate in many of Sandburg’s honor societies. I also love running, competing for Sandburg’s Varsity track and field team. I love advocating for both my school and community as I am one of the co-founders of our school’s Asian Student Association (ASA); I am also one of the founders and chapter leads for my community’s chapter of the non-profit Dear Asian Youth (DAY). Additionally, I volunteer at the University of Chicago. In my free time, you can find me doing my makeup, taking pictures, listening to music, or grabbing boba with my friends. I am so excited to present all the committees we have at CSMUN XV with a variety of interesting topics. I hope that CSMUN XV evokes passion and creativity for all delegates in which it fosters your love for Model UN the way CSMUN does :)

Hey! My name is Nimr Chaudhry and I am proud to serve as one of the Secretary Generals of General Assembly for CSMUN XV. I have been in MUN all four years and will be a senior in high school. Outside of Model UN, I am involved in many extracurricular activities at Sandburg; I am an executive member of Sandburg’s Supefanz, member of the Asian Student Association (ASA), and a member of SkillsUSA. I am also one of the founders and chapter leads for my local community’s nonprofit Dear Asian Youth (DAY). In my free time, I like to listen to music and hangout with my friends. I am very proud of all the CSMUN staff and believe we have very interesting and engaging committees. I hope CSMUN XV presents a great opportunity to grow and improve upon your skills. 

Hi! My name is Marina Blanc and I am so happy to serve as the Secretary General of Cabinets and Crisis for CSMUN XV. I am currently a senior at Sandburg, making this my fourth year in MUN. Other than CSMUN, I am a member of Mu Alpha Theta, ACES, and CORE Club at Sandburg. In my free time, you can find me painting, sculpting, shopping, and traveling, as well as spending time with family and friends. I am so proud of all of our crisis chairs and the work they have provided for this conference and I am so excited to see all that work culminate into passionate debate and a fun experience for everyone involved. Hello! My name is Aubrey Thornton and I am delighted to be serving as one of your Secretaries General of Cabinets and Crisis for CSMUN XV! I am a senior at Sandburg and this year will be my fourth and final year in Model UN! I am involved in many things outside of MUN including Eagle Connect, First Class Ambassadors, National Honor Society, International fest, I am an english and social studies tutor and more. Outside of school, I co-founded a group dedicated to spreading awareness about the climate crisis and our role in it (follow @doit4theearth on instagram). In my free time, I love music, movies, books, and I NEVER miss a Grand Prix as an avid F1 fan. I am over the moon for the wonderful committees that our amazing chairs have put together and I hope to make this CSMUN the best one yet! See y’all on the flip side.

Hey y’all!! My name is Zion Mitchem and I am SO honored to serve as one of the Secretary Generals of Member Relations for CSMUN XV. This year marks my third year in Model UN and my senior year of high school. Other than Model UN, I am very involved within the school. I am the Vice President of Black Student Union, the Social Chair Executive for Choir, a Chamber Singer, an Eagle Connect Executive, National Honors Society Officer for Academics and member for Music, an Executive Sandburg Superfanz member, an African American International Fest member, Varsity Basketball Manager, Powerlifter, and a Varsity Track and Field runner. Outside of school, I am an active member in my community. I am one of the youth co-founders of Dementia Dignified Academy, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing dementia and Alzheimer’s awareness within the African American community and in medical institutions. Additionally, I am an intern for a public administration office in the South Suburbs. Moreover, I am also a content creator where I basically document my life as a senior student. In my free time, I LOVE to listen to music. Some of my fav artists include Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, Tyler the Creator, Solange, and Victoria Monet. Overall, I am super-duper excited for all of the committees we have at CSMUN XV and hope you will enjoy this conference and recognize all of the effort we put into it. Hi everyone my name is Samantha Rose (Sam) and I am currently a senior here at Carl Sandburg High School and this is my fourth year in Model UN. Aside from Model UN, I am an athletic training aid for our football, basketball, and baseball team. Not only that but I am a member of Art Club and the AP Art program offered at Sandburg. Outside of school, I love spending time with my friends and family, volunteering, traveling, and above all working at an amazing veterinary clinic. I am so excited to see everyone at our conference this fall. I hope that you find your passion for MUN and public speaking within CSMUN XV.
